Azzolini Tinuper

AzzoliniTinuper specialize in research and design, emphasizing the use of innovative materials and technologies.
They work as consultant designers particularly on materials, surfaces, colours, finishing and texture design for industrial product.
They work on product’s design offering unusual and innovative solutions, starting from a unique approach which includes the study of current trends as well as a research into new materials and production processes.
They also work on interior design with a strong attention to the perception and the soft structures of the environment, specializing on interior design of exhibit structures as well as showrooms and shop-in-shop spaces.
Being active in divulging the results of their research and projects, designers from Studio Azzolini Tinuper give courses and lectures at the European Institute of Design – Milano. Also they frequently publish articles and take part at various cultural events.

Carlo Dameno

Carlo Dameno was born in Busto Arsizio in 1970.
In 1995 he obtained the diploma at Istituto Europeo di Design and started to cooperate as researcher and designer with the IED Research Center . He has been involved as designer or project leader with the following projects: LEGO FUTURA, GILETTE, FIAT AUTO, ORAL-B, LEVER, LAVAZZA, SITOS, BOSCH "YUNKERS".
Since 1999 he has worked as consultant at Carmelo di Bartolo’s Design Innovation studio, dealing with concept design and bionic research specifically destined to the projects developed with CRF (Centro Ricerche Fiat).
Since 2000 he has worked with Aroundesign studio, getting involved with technical projects mainly.
Since 2001 he has started the cooperation with Monica Ferrigno, with whom he has developed research studies and projects for companies such as PIAZZA and NEW HOLLAND.
He lectures at IED in Milan and Madrid. Being a design expert, he is also involved in the Industrial Project and Design course which is held at Politecnico di Milano by Architect Antonio Macchi Cassia.
Since 2003 he has started the cooperation with Giulio Iacchetti for UNITED PETS.

Ilaria Gibertini

Born in Parma on 30th January 1970
After graduating with a high school diploma in Art, she studied design and communication at the Università del Progetto di Reggio Emilia.
1993 she worked freelance on various industrial and graphic design projects. Some of the companies included: Artista Visitatore Associati, Mandarina Duck, Nemo [Cassina group], Outlook Zelco, Rosenthal and United Pets.
She has taken part in various national and international exhibitions.
Presently collaborates with various design studios and advertising agencies.

Maria Christina Hamel

Was born in New Delhi in 1958.
She lived her childhood in India, Thailand and Austria. In 1973 she moved with her family to Milan, where she completed her studies in Industrial Design in 1979 at the Scuola Politecnica di Design.
Beginning in 1981 she began a collaboration with Alessandro Mendini, which brought her participate with the group Alchimia, in many projects for Alessi and Eventuall, to become Mendini’s Assistant at the University of applied arts in Vienna at the MAK, thereafter she works as freelance for various companies of design area.
Teaching is a constant interest of her activity. She organizes workshops in India (NID, Ahmedabad), in France (Craft Enad Limoges) and in Italy (Isia of Faenza, Università del Progetto di Reggio Emilia, Naba in Milan).
In 2000/2003 she organized, together with Cesare Castelli, the department of gift and object of the store Fiorucci in Milan and Verona.

Giulio Iacchetti

Giulio Iacchetti has been an industrial designer since 1992.
He also carries out an intense didactic work for several universities and design schools, in Italy and abroad.
He was awarded a number of international prizes.
In 2001 his project for a disposable fork "Moscardino" (designed with Matteo Ragni) won the Compasso d'Oro ADI and is now part of the permanent design exhibition at MOMA, New York.
For the Italian chain of supermarkets COOP he created the project "Design for COOP" and is now charged of the coordination of the project COOP Eureka and Art Director of iB Rubinetterie.

Miriam Mirri

She was born in Bologna in 1964, lives and works in Milan.
She graduated at the Superior School for Anotomic Design and studied communication and design at the Università del Progetto in Reggio Emilia. She worked in London with Nigel Coates and has been assistant to Stefano Giovannoni for many years. She designs objects for companies such as Mandarina Duck, Mitsubishi, United Pets. Stefano Giovannoni

Stefano Giovannoni, born in La Spezia in 1954, graduated in Architecture in Florence in 1978, he lives and works in Milan. Since 1979 he has taught and done research at the Florence Faculty of Architecture; he is master-professor at Domus Academy in Milan and at the Università del Progetto in Reggio Emilia. He has been invited for workshops at the Royal College of Art in London, at the Academy O. Kochoska in Wien, at the Hochschule der Bildenden Kunst in Saarbrücken and at the Design Quest in Osaka. He works as an industrial and interior designer and architect. He has worked with companies like Alessi, Flos, Magis, Seiko, Pulsar, Cappellini, Kankyo, Saab, United Pets etc. In 1991 he designed the Italian Pavillon at the exhibition “Les Capitales Europeennes du nouveau design” at the Centre Georges Pompidou.
He has participated in national and international competitions including:
- "Shinchenchiku Residential Design Competition", Tokyo, 1980 (1st prize)
- "Competition for a square at Santa Croce sull’Arno", Florence, 1980 (1st prize)
- "P.A. Conceptual Furniture Competition", Chicago, 1983 (mentioned project)
- "Shinchenchiku Residential Design Competiton", 1985 (2nd prize)
- "Competition for the restructuring of the historical centre at Casteldisangro-Aquila", 1989 (with Andrea Branzi and Remo Buti - 1st prize).
Some of his projects have received the “Design Plus” award at the Frankfurt Fair- Ambiente in 1994 and 1996, the “Forum Design Hannover” award in 1999 and have been selected at “Compasso d’oro” in 1996 and 1998.
His works are part of the permanent archive of Centre Georges Pompidou.

Sylvia Colombini & Zoran Jedrejcic

He Croatian, born in Split, Industrial Designer. She Italian, born in Trieste, Architect and Designer. They live and work in Milan, Italy.
A good miscellanea of Dalmatian simplicity and rationality and Italian imagination and elegance.
This harmonious union and the continuous research and experimentation with materials, colors and proportions and exchanging of different point of views and ideas created theirs new and innovative life/design approach.
He worked as assistant of Hiroshi Morishima and since 1999 he has been involved in the “Sub-Art” Project, an Experimental Underwater Museum located in Croatia, then collaborated with Arch. Paolo Deganello and for six years he has been a part of Ettore Sottsass&Associates Studio where he supervises the industrial design projects.
He designed for Dutch company PHPC, Franch company Guy Laroche, Japanese company Jos Collection and Italian company Industreal.
She worked as assistant of Architects Gabetti and Isola at the Turin Polytechnic; as architect she designed an important project of the Olympics Games ’92 into the Anela Olimpica in collaboration with the Arch. Calatrava and his Staff. From 1992 she designes and realizes hotels and entertainment locations with all interior designs (Discos, Restaurants, Holiday-Villages, Resorts, etc.) and Show Rooms in different parts of Europe, in Italy, Spain, France, Switzerland and in Egypt. Thanks to her specialization she designs also for some Italian and International Banking Groups.
They designs have been exhibited at Museum MART of Trento and Rovereto, 1995; Ozone Center-Tokyo, 2002; Spazio One Off-Milano, 2004; British Council-India, 2005; Spazio Cargo-HighTech, 2006; Triennal of Exibition of the Croatian Design Awards (2006) and published in various design reviews such as Domus, Interni, Modo, BeauxArts, Viewpoint, Vogue, etc.

Annalisa Margarini & Giovanna Molteni

Annalisa Margarini was born in Milan in 1970.
She obtains a diploma in 1993 at the European Institute of Design, IED.
During her studies she cooperates with Bonetto Studio to design projects.
From 1993 to 2004 she cooperates with Alessandro Mendini at Atelier Mendini where she coordinates design projects for Swatch, Venini, Alessi, Swarovski, Artemide, Koziol, Etro, Luxo, Olivari.
Giovanna Molteni was born in 1972.
She studies at the Belle Arti Academy of Brera, Milan.
In 1995 she cooperates with Sowden Studio and afterwards, for a short period, with Studio Matteo Thun.
Since 1997 she cooperates with Alessandro Mendini, working on industrial and graphic design projects and Color Consulting for Swatch, Alessi, Bisazza, Byblos, Fish Design, Zero Disegno.
Since 2003 Annalisa and Giovanna have been working together as freelance, alternating design projects and graphic projects.
Among the companies they worked for: Paul & Shark, Henkel, Alessi, United Pets, Byblos, Agapanthus Gioielli, Grund Textile, Forever Italia.

Ivan Pedri

Born in Trento in 1980, he now lives and works in Milan, Italy.
After finishing high school he moves to Milan Where he studies at the Milan Polytechnic University. Parallel with his studies He works a graphic and media designer, where he receives numerous prices for outstanding design. Later he works for Stefano Giovannoni where he has the opportunity to work with some of the most important Italian and international companies.
In 2006 he sets up his own studio and works as a freelance designer for various well-known studios in Italy.
From 2007 he teaches with Guido Venturini at the l'Accademia di Brera and the Domus Academy in Milan.
